Keynote Speaker Gregg Dimmick, MD ‒ Santa Anna’s Army in the Texas Revolution: the Alamo, Goliad, and More
Dr. Dimmick, acclaimed Sea of Mud author with expertise on the Mexican Army of 1836, discusses and shares the most important documents from the Mexican Military Archives, as included in his forthcoming book ‒ the second in a series of three. -
Gary Foreman ‒ Finding David Crockett: The Search for the Lion of the West
Gary’s unique coffee table book provides readers a front-row seat to his search for Crockett. With over 300 illustration/photographs, it is a journey of discovery walking beside the author with QR codes that activate videos in every chapter. This collection may be the most abundant gallery of David Crockett images ever presented in a single publication — each one selected to bring readers a step closer to the man and the country that shaped him. -
Ray Theiss ‒ Where a Pumpkin Grins: The First Battle of San Patricio, Nov 3-4, 1835
As author of Bones Among the Wildflowers: The Southern Front of the Texas Revolution, 1835-1836, Ray discusses the First Battle of San Patricio where Texians achieved one of the major victories of 1835 in a brilliant display of valor against outnumbering odds. Now a lost site, the only testament to its location is half of a metal jack-o-lantern hammered into a tree.
